Find out what’s on while you’re there.

Concert listings and exhibition schedules are scattered all over the place: venue websites, museum pages, gallery calendars, social media. Piecing together what’s actually happening on the days you’ll be in town can be exhausting, especially in a city you don’t know well.

IndieTripper can do that advance legwork for you, and deliver curated options in one portable document with links to every venue, every ticket page and every location on a map. All I need is where you’re going and when, plus answers to a few questions that will help me tailor the options to your taste. If your trip is already booked, I’ll fill in what’s on. If you’re still deciding, give me a window of dates and I’ll show you what’s worth timing the trip around. The research is done for you; the decisions and fun are all yours.

IndieTripper Live: concerts during your trip, chosen for your taste

I find the shows on during your dates, chosen around the music you love: the big tours hitting town when you are, as well as local artists and smaller club shows that might strike a chord. Even a recently published guidebook will list music venues, but how do you know which ones have opened, closed or changed owners since it went to print? I check.

The best way to get started is with a playlist or your top ten artists: the music you’d cross town, or maybe a continent, to hear.

For better results, request your IndieTripper Live listings about six to eight weeks before you go. Any earlier and the small rooms haven’t posted their calendars; any later and the more popular ones may have sold out.

IndieTripper Art: exhibitions during your trip, chosen for your taste

Guidebooks may tell you about the museums, but not what’s happening in them at just the time you’ll be there. I find the exhibitions on during your dates, chosen around the art you love: the major museum shows and the galleries that may be a bit harder to find, with hours and admission so you know before you go.

Be prepared: one of the things I’ll ask you is to name a few artists who stop you in your tracks, and a few (if any) who drive you up the wall.

Ideally, order your IndieTripper Art listings about four to eight weeks before you go. Museums often announce their exhibitions months in advance, but many smaller galleries will only post their next show a few weeks before it opens.
